ANF Architects worked with First Horizon National Corporation (the parent company of First Tennessee Bank) to consolidate employees from three different properties into two locations. The goal was to reduce real estate, improve functional layouts, and increase collaboration and work flow while giving employees a modern work environment. The project team worked closely with the client to determine the consolidation needs and space requirements as well as planning the 4-phased move requirement while keeping the 24/7 building operational.
This project renovated and modernized 360,000 SF of space at two different locations and added over 13,000 SF of new construction at the existing operations center campus.
ANF Architects, collaborated with Gensler, in a BIM/Cloud team approach to fast-track the renovations projects during the early phases of design.
The corporate headquarters, located in the prominent downtown tower at 165 Madison Avenue, includes restacking 11 floors, approximately 170,000 SF., to improve work layout and department relationships.
The existing "First Ops" Operations Center (Buildings A & B) received a complete building overhall to make room for an estimated 700 employees at a location that previously accommodated 280 people. Approximately 190,000 SF of existing space was transformed to meet the current & evolving needs of the client as technology has changed the way we work and the space requirements for modern operations. The new state-of-the art operations center has an open layout with flexible spaces and added amenities. Work areas are provided for group work, collaboration, and individual work. The project also includes the addition of a flexible/modern conferencing center, a cafe with an outdoor patio, an employee fitness center, and a secure outdoor walking track. This building is designed to operate continuously over a 24 hour cycle.
First Ops C is a new construction project that adds 13,230 SF of additional workspace, meeting rooms, and breakrooms to the First Tennessee Operations Center.
“This is the biggest, largest, most complex project FHNC has ever done and the team has done an excellent job!”
